We had such a lovely holiday at iMoresani, Casal Velino, Salerno Province, Southern Italy that we thought it rather selfish to keep the place to ourselves. Hopefully, this web site will also encourage more Brits to visit this wonderful area and particularly iMoresani. As a picture spells a thousand words, what follows is merely a collection of pictures with some basic information to give you an idea of what you can expect if you do decide visit iMoresani.
The usual caveat applies - Kate and I were merely very satisfied customers - no associations etc. - Kate and Graham, June 2005.
This is the entrance to iMoresani. Behind you is the track down from a very quiet road, a steep 100 metres. Quiet because it is in effect the end of the metalled road from Casal Velino. The building on the right is the restaurant, and the wooden building to the left is the office. The track to the left of the purply bush goes down (another steep slope) to the pool, accommodation, and residents' car part. Let's go straight to the pool with the views. Around the pool on the paved area and grass are plenty of sunbeds, umbrellas and olive trees where you can relax in sun or shade. The pool is large, very clean and I suppose hot or cold dependent upon your blood thickness and time of year! The views from the pool are superb. The two buildings in the background are the accomodation areas.
If you look at the pool photo above, this is the building behind the umbrella and sunbed. Downstairs are four B & B rooms and upstairs is the bigger of the two apartments. A long traipse to the pool! Behind you is the gravelled area in front of the B & B rooms in the last photo. You are now looking across the pool towards the short steep hill that takes you back to the restaurant and entrance areas - although the track is hidden in the trees.
The back garden, situated behind the B & B building, just visible on the left. The small building in front of you is the other accommodation building. A smaller apartment upstairs and two or three B & B rooms with terraces downstairs. Swivel yourself 90 degrees to the right in the last picture and you are spoiled by another fantastic view. If you look carefully, you can see a horizontal track running about halfway up the hill opposite - this is the track you will walk if you walk to Acciaroli.
The restaurant - a slightly closer view, tables just visible. Lunchtime - Kate taking it easy. There is an inside to the restaurant as well.
